The concept of development dairy farms and renovation of villages in Russia

This concept was purposely developed for Russia and based on current demand and

circumstances on Russian market.

The key factors are:

 Shortage of liquid milk in Russia;

 Constantly increasing demand from milk processors for liquid milk;

 Inefficient existing dairy farms;

 Demand for good breed heifers;

 Thousands of hectares of land suitable for agriculture are not in use;

 Inefficient systems of land cultivation and crop management;

 Population are moving from rural areas to towns and cities due to the absence of job

and modern infrastructure and facilities.

Our solution:

 Construction of modern highly efficient 3000 milking cows and 3000 heifers rearing

farms with an investment costs in area of 40 mln. Euro an average profitability of 17%

per annum from the year 4;

¡°No-till¡± plant growing system for forage;

 Biogas power station worked on slurry and manure from dairy farm, an average

investment in area of 10 mln. Euro and profitability 6-7% per annum;

 Glasshouses for heat and power utilisation and fresh vegetables and salads growing

(no business predictions made yet, but there is strong and increasing market demand

for fresh vegetables and salads in Russia);

 Possibility of milk processing plant construction, creates an opportunity

significantly increase profit for milk sale.

Demand for staff for farm, power station and glasshouses will lead to necessity of new

houses construction and renovation of village infrastructure due to the absence

of accommodation for workers in existing villages.

Modern technologies can be used in village renovation:

 Modern technologies of drinking water purification and waste water treatment;

 Energy-efficient residential and commercial buildings;

 Eco-friendly technologies for waste recycling;

 Designing and construction of modern facilities for sports and outdoor activities.

Renovated village with modern infrastructure will attract:

 Elderly people to move from cities;

 Low income families and families with children;

 People who are planning resettlements from Northern regions of Russia.

Realisation of this project will:

 Reduce liquid milk shortage on Russian market;

 Reduce breed heifers shortage in Russia;
